Distorted Perception of Beauty

I resisted watching this just because SOO many people were posting it with a title "EVERY TEENAGE GIRL AND ALL WOMEN SHOULD WATCH THIS." I know my childhood stubbornness aka PRIDE told me to resist what I was told to do. Well finally I gave in today when I realized it was only 1min and 16 sec. I pressed play and I am glad I did. This video corresponds so well with a couple chapters of different books I've been reading lately. So good to be reminded.

I had not seen this yet. I posted it on my blog too. I know that this is part of the process but when I see these beautiful, too perfect women, I don't think about what it took to get them to look like that.

Will you guys be back in MO soon? I got an invitation to Diana's Bridal Shower but won't be able to go because it is the same time as my little cousin's baby shower. It would have been so nice to see your family and catch up a bit!

I saw 2 "cover" pics for magazines--they were absolutely FRIGHTFUL!!
The girls are so skinny. In my opinion that's just as dangerous as the people who are grossly obese.

I do not object to make-up when used appropriately (which is subjective), BUT, we also need to be ok without it.

We MUST be attentive & NOT let make-up/weight become obsessions.

God sees the REAL us & loves us.
